As part of our commitment to staff development, we have introduced a training academy, which enables us to offer education and training in areas specific to our clients’ needs.

The service is also available to external organisations which can access both mandatory training in key areas as well as specific training tailored to their requirements.

All of our care staff undergoes regular training and yearly updates. Before commencement of work placements all new carers undergo a 3 day Induction course which covers:

POVA / SOVA (Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults)
Food Hygiene
Health & Safety
Communication
Basic First Aid
Infection Control
Challenging Behaviour
Medication
Continence & Personal Care

Specific induction and training relative to a client’s care plan enables staff to have a full understanding of the future goals and care needs that will be specific to each client.

Our carers are offered a range of distance learning courses including Practical Care Skills and the opportunity to undertake NVQ in Care qualifications.

We have training dates available throughout the year, suitable dates can be arranged to accommodate your needs.
